Tim Chong, Theso Jivajirajah and Harry Jell, who worked together at a large UK fintech, founded Yonder in 2020 because credit card rewards were being ignored. Yonder is a credit card that rewards spending at restaurants, bars, theatres and shops, uses open banking instead of traditional credit checks, and since June 2024 lets members spend points on flights.

Yonder raised a £62.5m Series A in 2023 and then a £23.4m round at a £100m valuation. Members have spent more than £3m with its rewards partners, and it is backed by former footballer Rio Ferdinand.
