Vox Aeris: cleaner indoor air with less energy

  • Founded 2023
  • IET Excellence and Innovation Award
  • Innovate UK support

About

Selene Sari founded Vox Aeris in 2023 from an idea in her master's thesis, driven by the story of Ella Adoo-Kissi-Debrah. Its variable-grade air filtration upgrades a building's air quality and energy efficiency without changing existing systems, using a purely physical process with no chemicals.

Sari, an aerospace and design engineer, built the prototypes herself, funded by grants and awards. Vox Aeris is supported by Innovate UK, the Department for Transport, Imperial College London and Cranfield University, and Sari won the IET Excellence and Innovation Award.

Number 59 on the Startups 100 Index 2026.
