Sheng Liu founded VoltShare in 2019, with Zhong (John) Zheng and Jonathan Ngiam, after struggling to charge his electric car at a busy Surrey park. VoltShare installs EV chargers at hotels, golf resorts and other venues with no upfront cost; venues pay by usage, and drivers find chargers in the app.

VoltShare raised £500k from SFC Capital in June 2024 and plans to move into office car parks, residential blocks and fleets.

Number 50 on the Startups 100 Index 2025.
