About
Hamed Silatani founded Uptime Labs in London in 2021 with his former colleague Joe McKevitt. Watching how calm health workers were at his son's birth contrasted with the panic he had seen as an incident responder at a large financial firm. Uptime Labs trains IT teams with realistic simulations, including cyber and ransomware scenarios, instead of classroom learning.
The company was bootstrapped, and both founders went unpaid for its first seven months. Clients include Trainline, Thomson Reuters, Domino's and IG Group.
