About
Dr Alasdair Price, Dr Euan Allen and Dr Ben Hunt founded Siloton in 2020 to end preventable blindness. It shrinks optical coherence tomography (OCT), the scanner used in eye clinics, onto a small photonic chip, so patients can scan their own eyes at home and doctors can monitor them remotely.
Siloton launched its Akepa chip, which it calls the first of its kind released commercially. It partners with Moorfields Eye Hospital and several NHS trusts, and the European Space Agency is a client.
