About
Fashion design graduate Ellie Brown founded Recondition in Manchester in 2023, after a broken ankle made everyday tasks like putting on socks a struggle. Recondition makes stylish, size-inclusive adaptive clothing co-designed with six disabled fashion lovers, starting with denim that has easy-reach pockets and pull tabs.
It is funded by an Innovate UK grant and crowdfunding, and launched its first adaptive denim at London Fashion Week in August 2025.
Number 100 on the Startups 100 Index 2026.
