About

Five Oxford graduates who met on the university's first Student Entrepreneurship Programme founded Quantum Dice in 2020: Ramy Shelbaya, Marko von der Leyen, Zhanet Zaharieva, Wenmiao Yu and George Dunlop. It builds quantum random number generators, devices that use quantum mechanics to produce truly random numbers for cybersecurity, for enterprises, industry and space.

Quantum Dice raised $2m in pre-seed funding and a $2.09m Innovate UK grant. It is working with BT Group on telecoms security and with Singapore's SpeQtral on its first space product.

Number 7 on the Startups 100 Index 2025.
