Joel Robinson founded Openr in 2022 after seeing, as a tech director, hospitality firms waste thousands of hours on repetitive admin. Openr keeps menus, prices and product information in sync across tills, delivery apps and websites, working with existing systems instead of replacing them.

In March 2025 it raised £3m in funding led by Imbiba. Partners include Stonegate Pub Group and Azzurri Group, owner of Zizzi, Slug & Lettuce and Coco di Mama.

Number 40 on the Startups 100 Index 2026.
