Neuranics: sensors that read the body’s signals

  • Founded 2021
  • £6.2m seed (2025)
  • CES Innovation Award Honoree

About

Neuranics was founded in 2021 by Kianoush Nazarpour, Hadi Heidari and Siming Zuo, whose story began in university research labs. The Scottish deep-tech company makes ultra-sensitive sensors that use tunnelling magnetoresistance (TMR) to detect the tiny magnetic fields produced by the body’s muscles and heart.

Neuranics raised a £6.2m seed round in early 2025, after £1.9m of pre-seed funding and a Scottish Enterprise innovation grant. It made its first revenue in 2024, was a CES Innovation Award Honoree in 2025, and is running proofs of concept with Tier 1 consumer electronics groups.
