Gabriel Corbett and Rish Chowdhry founded Mealia in London in 2022 to help households facing rising food costs. Its AI grocery agent builds a meal plan and a matching basket from the supermarkets you choose, optimised for cost, health and sustainability.
Mealia started with a small grant from the Mayor of London, then raised a pre-seed round with Founders Factory, Nesta and Angel Invest. It has 100,000 users, works with charities and councils, and has affiliate deals with Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons.
