About
Anna Wood founded JUX in 2022. She grew up on a Norfolk farm, burned out in the music industry and came across freeze-drying while studying for a master's at the University of Cambridge. JUX freeze-dries vegetables, herbs, spices and superfoods so they stay fresh-tasting and shelf-stable without heat, oil or vinegar.
Wood launched while heavily pregnant and faced pushback from investors. JUX is growing 338% a year, is sold by Tesco, Ocado and wholesaler CLF, and works with Oddbox, Mindful Chef and chefs including James Martin.
Number 65 on the Startups 100 Index 2026.
