Eleria: a portable cleaner for menstrual cups

  • Founded 2021
  • £50k Innovate UK grant
  • Mentored by Deborah Meaden

About

Kira Goode and Monica Wai founded Eleria in Bristol in 2021, after Goode, an arts and crafts creator with around half a million followers, found that her audience saw cleaning a period cup in public as a barrier. Eleria makes a patented portable cup cleaner that needs only water and a shake, and sells its own range of period cups.

Originally called Cup Squared, the company rebranded in 2023. It closed a pre-seed round in April 2024, won a £50k Innovate UK grant and mentoring from Deborah Meaden, and launched its products in April 2025.

Number 86 on the Startups 100 Index 2026.
