Kim Zou and Mark Taylor founded the company in 2023; it was previously called Sightline Climate. It is an AI-native market intelligence platform for climate technology and the energy transition, combining expert research, unified data and AI tools across power, grid, fuels, carbon and industry.

It grew out of the CTVC newsletter, Zou's passion project covering climate tech, whose readers kept asking for a full intelligence product. In 2025 it raised $5.5m in seed funding, taking its total past $7m, and it counts HSBC, BHP, Galvanize Climate Solutions and the US Department of Energy among its users.
