Nina Mohanty founded Bloom Money in 2021 after working in fintech and seeing how little banks offer the UK's diaspora communities. Bloom lets people run money clubs, such as ajo, esusu and pardna, as digital savings circles where members take turns receiving the pot.

Bloom partners with community groups including the Vietnamese Family Partnership and Filipino UK Nurses.
