About

Ira Guha founded Asan in 2020. Its plastic-free menstrual cup lasts ten years and is designed to end period poverty and cut plastic waste, supported by peer-to-peer education in 14 languages.

Asan has tripled its revenue, and 70% of the cups it sold in the past year went to women and girls in underserved communities, including 30,000 in rural South India and more than 8,000 through partners in Malawi and Zanzibar. It aims to reach two million low-income women by 2030.
