About

Nazmus Tareque and Dr Raoul Peltier launched ANTHROTEK from a workshop in Newmarket in 2024. It makes hyper-realistic silicone replicas of skin and body parts, using layered silicone and AI-powered 3D modelling, for medical device makers, robotics developers, universities and hospitals, as well as prosthetics for film studios.

Peltier left a senior materials science role to make cinema-grade prosthetics in his garage, and Tareque saw their value for medicine. In 2025 the company raised £950k, taking its total to £1.15m, and it won at the Business Weekly Awards and the Cambridge Independent Business Awards.

Number 26 on the Startups 100 Index 2026.
